Luca Crivellari | Assistant Coach
Luca Crivellari joined the Lion soccer coaching staff as a graduate assistant in July 2022 and was promoted to assistant coach in January 2025.
During his first three seasons in Commerce, the Lions are the only program in the Southland Conference to finish in the top three of the standings in each of the three seasons, while making two SLC Tournament Championship matches, and recording the athletic department's only winning season in the Division I era.
While he has been on the coaching staff, the Lions have earned one SLC Player of the Year honor, two SLC Forward of the Year honors, one SLC Newcomer of the Year, and two SLC Freshman of the Year awards, as well as six players have been named to first team all-conference honorees, nine to second-team all-conference selections, and seven players have been named to the all-tournament teams in the Lions' three trips to the postseason.
Crivaellari assisted the Lions in another monumental season in 2024 as East Texas A&M made its second appearance in the Southland Conference Tournament Championship match after finishing third in the conference during the regular season. Individual accolades for the Lions included sophomore Kaydence Ramirez being named Southland Conference Player of the Year and the Forward of the Year. Along with Ramirez being named to first team all-conference, Hannah Bell, Melissa Storey, and Mindy Shoffit were named to second team all-conference.
In his second season with the Lions, Crivellari helped the program secured its first winning season in the Division I era, which was also the first winning season for any sport at A&M-Commerce in Division I, while finishing second in the Southland Conference. The Lions was fourth in the conference in save percentage as Gillian McKenzie finished fifth in the conference in saves. The Lions recorded four shutouts on the year while Sophia Dean was named the SLC's Goalkeeper of the Week twice and McKenzie earned the honor once.
Working primarily with goalkeepers, Crivellari was part of the Lions' first season in NCAA Division I. Picked seventh in the preseason poll, A&M-Commerce finished third in the regular season and advanced to the SLC Tournament championship match. During the tournament, A&M-Commerce recorded 28 saves, which is a new SLC tournament record and Jen Peters was named to the all-tournament team ... the Lions allowed the second-fewest goals during conference play.
He joined the Lions after spending one season as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Arkansas.
While in Fayetteville, Crivellari assisted in athlete skill development at practices, utilized Spiideo for game and film analysis, run small group technical sessions. The Razorbacks were crowned SEC Regular Season Champions and finished as the runner up in the SEC Championship match, being ranked as high as No. 2 in the country and ended the season being ranked No. 6. Six players earned All-SEC honors during his tenure at Arkansas.
While being in Arkansas, he was a head coach at the Specialized Soccer Academy in Bentonville, Arkansas for two years. He coached 2007/2006 & 2008/2009 teams, implementing specific tactical and technical concepts. He also created individual player development plans for the players. He has also served as a head coach at Sporting Arkansas and was a comp Instructor at Ozark FC.
Crivellari played in Series D semi-professional league in Italy as well as the fifth division Italian soccer. In the United States, he played for two years at William Woods, starting 26 matches. He was named to the American Midwest Conference All-Academic team in 2018. He also played for Ozark FC.
A 2019 graduate of William Woods, Crivellari received his degree in communication.
